Negroni

An Italian classic 🤌🤌🤌

The negroni is a classic because it’s both tasty and extremely easy to measure. Since everything’s in equal parts, you technically don’t even need a jigger; you could use any vessel as long as you measure everything equally.

There are a lot of variants on this drink too. If the campari is too bitter for you, you can swap it for aperol. If you don’t really like gin (like me), swap it for 1.5 oz of bourbon to (technically) get a Boulevardier. Or swap the gin for 1oz of vodka to get a “negroski.”

The more you stir this drink, the more diluted (and less bitter) it will get as the ice melts. Even though I drink black coffee and love pu’erh tea from HN Tea and should, in theory, love bitter things, the Negroni is still a bit bitter for me normally, so I stir a lot to err on the side of diluted.

I usually don’t garnish this drink, but an orange twist, lemon twist, or orange slice are all good choices.
